Nimra offers raw mix for cordierite ceramics with and without binders, you can directly start manufacturing cordierite honeycomb of thin wall thickness or any other product having excellent properties such as low coefficient of thermal expansion, high temperature capabilities and high thermal shock resistance.

We assure you consistent quality from batch to batch as the raw material are specailly manufactured at our facility. Moreover each batch of raw material is made to pass through specialized quality control procedures based on wet chemical and spectroscopic techniques for major as well as trace elements.

Further from each batch of raw mix we extrude thin wall honeycombs and test them for low coefficient of thermal expansion, high strength, bulk density, apparent porosity, water absorption, softening temperature and phase composition etc.

Particle Size Analysis
Cordierite raw mix was analyzed for their particle size using CILAS - 920, France by laser diffraction technique. The Median particle size is found to be 14.3 microns and the particle size distribution is as follows:
